Current Positions Available:


Senior Prevention Specialist

Full-time position. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing an evidence based curriculum with middle school students, supporting a Youth Advisory Committee at local schools, conducting a marketing campaign with middle school and high school students, and interacting with key stakeholders through community and coalition meetings. Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field required. Experience working with youth in a variety of settings; implementing evidence based curriculums; past supervisory role preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Resume to Nikki Lay.


Substance Use Counselor

Full-time position. Responsibilities include working with individuals at Hesed House in Aurora by conducting assessments and providing individual and group counseling services to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Minimum CADC required, LSW/LPC in addition preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience required. Passion for working with homeless population a plus. Resume to Teddi Krochman.



Prevention Specialist

Part-time prevention specialist provides parenting program to parents in the Aurora community. Responsibilities include facilitating the Nurturing Parenting Program, completing required funding paperwork, and coordinating tasks for site implementation. This position is 20 hours per week. High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with groups and delivering presentations preferred. Must be Spanish speaking and have a desire to work with parents. Group Leader

Multiple positions to fill. Part-time group Leader positions in West Chicago and Aurora.  Averaging about 14 hours per week. Aurora location hours are Monday - Thursday 5:30pm - 8:30pm.  The West Chicago location hours are Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 6:00pm for elementary school and 2:45pm - 5:15pm for middle school. Responsibilities include supervision of students, delivering lesson plans, engaging students in activities, and working with other staff to plan/prepare activities.
