Volunteer Opportunities
Our agency is always in need of community-minded individuals who are willing to donate their time toward making our community a better place. Breaking Free began 33 years ago as a grassroots organization made up of people who were concerned about their neighbors and communities. Nothing has changed as active volunteers remain the foundation of our organization.
Current volunteer opportunities:
- Want to create awareness, build connections and help increase Breaking Free's funding? Join the NEW Resource Development Committee under the leadership of volunteer Myrna Smar. It's fun! To become part of this team, please call Mike Moran at (630) 897-1003.
- Join BOOST and become a mentor to a middle school student and help show a teen that adults care. Go to the BOOST Mentor page under the Community Based Prevention Services on the left side to learn more about being a mentor.
- Serve on the Board of Directors. Join a dynamic group of committed and like-minded volunteers who lead Breaking Free into the future.
