Gifts of Hope Breaking Free serves DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall and Will counties. Each year we assist more than 15,000 people in all walks of life, of all religions, ethnicities, races and income levels. Our mission is “to provide the highest quality education, prevention and counseling services focused on drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, family relationships, mental health and wellness.” As we work toward fulfilling our mission, we meet some families who are in need and we regularly help them connect with area resources. During the holidays, many of these families are without the means to provide their children with presents so many years ago we instituted our “Gifts of Hope” program. Gifts of Hope is a program that provides holiday presents for children and teens (1-17 years of age) in the needy families we assist. Not every family, not every child or teen, but the ones who are in desperate need of hope during the holidays. The Breaking Free staff person, Karen May, who runs the Gifts of Hope program, was once in this situation herself and knows what it means not to be able to provide holiday presents for your children. Our families need your help. Karen needs your help. Please contact her if during the holidays you would like to provide an unwrapped gift for a youth in need, donate cash to the program, or adopt one of our families. Call Karen at: (630) 897-1003 or email her by clicking on Karen May. Thank you for your “Gifts of Hope!”

We would also like to congratulate all the medalists across each of the age groups. Results for the event can be found by clicking on the links below.
