Men's Recovery Services

Breaking Free provides specialized treatment services to men to help them achieve their goal of beginning their recovery. Services are provided in both an Intensive Outpatient level as well as an Outpatient level.

Mens Level II/Intensive Outpatient Evening Program

Providing services three evening per week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients, this program uses a research-based approach that combines motivation and support to achieve and maintain abstinence and restore healthy functioning in all life areas -- home, work, and the community. The program is designed to meet the specific needs of men and offers:

Collaborative working relationships with referral sources, such as employers, family members, and the Department of Children and Family Services
Individual, Group and Family counseling
Patient and Family Educational seminars
Continuing care for 3-6 months following the completion of the Intensive Outpatient phase of the program
Random testing for drug and alcohol use
Anger Management component to develop healthy coping skills
Parenting classes to restore healthy relationship with children and other family members.
Family Recovery Program, a program for family members and others with a loved one in treatment.

Mens Level I/Outpatient Program

For men requiring a less intensive level of care or for men who have completed Inpatient or Intensive Outpatient Services, Breaking Free offers outpatient services to support their abstinence and ongoing recovery as they manage the demands of work, family, relationships and recovery. Incorporating individual, group and family counseling, tested and proven approaches are used to accomplish the treatment goals established by each individual and his counselor with a special emphasis on employment and careers, marital and family relationships, relapse prevention and community-based sober support systems.
